Another year is coming to its end and so it is time for the ISM board to renew. Exciting challenges with great people await you! Interested in applying?

The current board members and the roles will be introduced in the Facebook event and in Instagram daily for the next couple of weeks. If your interest sparks towards a specific role, don’t hesitate to contact the current member! Even if you are not joining the board, you can join the Autumn Meeting and use your right to vote.

Prost! Novemberfest is back.

Novemberfest on Monday 15.11. at 18:00-22:00, at Restaurant Zinnkeller

How does great beer, food and company sound like? How about getting to know ISM’s partner companies and playing fun games? This year Novemberfest is held in Restaurant Zinnkeller where a delicious German style dinner will be served. The evening is filled with mingling with other ISM people, speeches from our corporate partners, entertaining games and of course cherishing your taste buds. This legendary event is one you don’t want to miss.

Halloween After Exam on 29.10. at 18:00, Metallimiehenkuja 6.

AMS, ISM and Economics have joined forces to celebrate the end of the exam week with a Halloween themed After Exam party!  So put on your spookiest costume and head to Metallimiehenkuja with your friends to get the exam week the ending it deserves!

It’s time to take your backpack and head to the peaceful nature since Aalto ISM’s fall hike is here. Together we’ll go on an adventure to Luukki’s beautiful nature paths, hike the 8,6km route and enjoy delicious trip snacks.

We will be going to Luukki with ridesharing, so the number of participants depends on how many cars will be available. You will receive a confirmation on Tuesday 5.10. on whether you have a ride. You can also come to Luukki with public transport with bus 345. Note that with bus it’s your responsibility to be there on time and find the rest of the group.

If you have a car, please consider giving a ride to other eager hikers and announce it on the sign-up form. Car riders who offer rides to others will be compensated for the gas.

During the trip Aalto ISM will offer you soda and hot dogs so no need for your own snacks (unless you want to). You will only need a water bottle, appropriate clothing and backpack. The hike will happen unless there is a huge storm so dress accordingly!

The Study Trip is back. And this time we are taking a trip to our beautiful nature at Evo. The cottage trip will be a weekend filled with mingling with other ISM students and most importantly – a tricky case to be solved!

Study Trip goes Cottage on 1.-3.10.

The participation fee covers you a whole weekend of tasty food and some beverages, entertainment, case-solving and making new friends. The event will be held at a cottage venue in Evo, where they have great facilities including saunas and paljus. However, this trip is not just for having fun, on Saturday we will have a case to be solved in teams, where ISMers get to use their expertise, practice teamworking and case-solving skills, which are valuable in working life.

The bus for the cottage leaves from Otaniemi on Fri 1.10. at 16:30 and returns to Otaniemi on Sun 3.10. at 15:00 latest.

Since there are many excited people wanting to join, the sign-up form asks you to explain in 3 sentences why you would like to attend the event. All sign-ups with proper 3 sentences will participate in a raffle that decides who get to participate. Thus, we do not guarantee that you get to go with your friend(s) and the order of sign-ups is irrelevant.

Participants that got in will be contacted on 15.9.

Dear new or old ISM master’s student!

Aalto ISM invites you to kick off the new academic year at Master’s Opening. The event will provide information about the subject club’s operations and ISM studies as well as offer a chance for casual hanging out with other ISM students. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and get to know the ISM community!

The event is open for all ISM master’s students, but in case the Corona restrictions limit the number of participants, new ISM master’s students coming from outside Otaniemi campus will be given first priority, new ISM master’s students moving within Otaniemi campus will be given second priority and the rest follow.

The organising mode (live or online) is also still open and will be confirmed closer to the event. Therefore, when you sign-up for the event you are asked to indicate your interest in participating in the event in case it’s held live indoors, live outdoors or remotely.

Hei uusi tai vanha ISM-kandi!

Aalto ISM kutsuu sinut korkkaamaan uuden lukuvuoden Bachelor’s Openingiin. Tapahtumassa on luvassa järjestön toiminnan ja ISM-opintojen esittelyä sekä kasuaalia hengailua muiden ISM-kandien kanssa. Tämä on siis mainio mahdollisuus tutustua uusiin tyyppeihin ja ISM-yhteisöön!

Tapahtumaan voi ilmoittautua kuka tahansa ISM:n kandiopiskelija, mutta koronarajoitusten rajoittaessa osallistujamäärää ensisijalle laitetaan uudet ISM-kandit.

Tapahtuman järjestysmuoto (live vai online) riippuu myöskin koronarajoituksista ja ilmoitetaan lähempänä tapahtumaa. Tämän vuoksi ilmoittautuessasi tapahtumaan voit valita oletko kiinnostunut osallistumaan livenä sisätiloissa, livenä ulkona tai etänä.
